x2 Step 246 - There is no justification for failing to reclaim Knowledge. – Journal – Step 245

Today:  Step 246 - There is no justification for failing to reclaim Knowledge. (MP3)

There is no justification for failing to reclaim Knowledge. Step 246

THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR ERROR. There is no justification for denying Knowledge. There is no justification at all. Do not attempt to justify your errors by projecting blame upon yourself or by accusing life of not giving you what you need. Do not justify your errors by claiming the responsibility of your childhood, your parents or your upbringing in determining your current situation. Errors cannot be justified. Whatever cannot be justified can be relinquished, for it lacks true meaning and value.

TODAY, THEN, IS A FORM OF FREEDOM, an expression of freedom to you who still, out of habit and complacency, attempt to justify your errors by assigning blame and responsibility. This is meaningless, for today you are only given to come to Knowledge and to give yourself in your approach to Knowledge. You can only justify error as an excuse not to come to Knowledge, and since there is no justification for error, there is no justification for you not to come to Knowledge. Without this justification, you are justified, for you are the expression of Knowledge. That is your destiny and purpose in the world. If error is unjustified, the truth is given all justification.

ALLOW YOURSELF TO REPEAT THIS IDEA UPON THE HOUR. Come to this in your longer practice periods in stillness and receptivity. Be grateful today that your errors have been forgiven. Be grateful today that condemnation is not justified. Be grateful today that you have this opportunity to come to Knowledge, which will affirm that which is truest and greatest within you. Be grateful today that there is no justification in denying this, for without guilt and blame you can only receive that which life has to offer you.

LET THIS BE A DAY TO CELEBRATE YOUR FREEDOM. Let this be a day to affirm that you are blameless, though you are a student of Knowledge. Let this be a day to affirm that all the problems of the world can be solved without condemnation, for without condemnation all problems in the world will be solved.

PRACTICE 246: Two 30-minute practice periods. Hourly practice.

7:25 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2001 –

I am confused. I live in a confused world. People act like they’re not confused – they know what they are doing, but the results are not optimum. They are painful/wasteful… many are hurt, damaged – life is simultaneously valued and cheap. I'm that earth. The mind can be a wasteful thing. I know from experience. Having information is not equal to being able to use it. Benchmarking/targeting – seeking outside references – is a way to self-evaluate. People don't like to do that. It gets them depressed. I know – I get depressed.

But, where am I? I've been unburdened of administrative tasks. I work better alone as a facilitator for planning by others, but small problems don't satisfy me. I want to tackle the regional integration of life.

I'm way over my head. There are few on this wavelength – yet I must daily overcome my own apathy, discouragement, indolence, distraction, death wish, failure to publish – because that's what counts.

Regions are strategic. When an organization looks at its territory and divides it into pieces – regions – it is to accomplish/achieve some strategic end – assign responsibility, emphasize markets – …

8:05 a.m. Step 245 – "When others fail, I am reminded of the need for Knowledge".

"Think of every individual that you think has failed and realize the meaning of today's lesson in light of those individuals serving you. Realize the need for Knowledge within their lives and within your life. They are committing errors to spark your commitment to Knowledge. They are serving you in this regard, and this calls for your gratitude not your condemnation".

Practice #1 – Who do I think has failed? Besides myself? Looking close to home – Ed D … failed, which led to my being Director. I did many things the opposite of what he did, but eventually the Commission return to its governmental pattern.

M.E. failed as a mother, which gave me the single-parent world.

David failed to learn, Sarah failed to learn – all these events kept pushing me down the path to K.

Mom & Dad failed. That pushed me.

Dot.coms failed – big fantasy.

Tom N … failed – that cost me money, but didn't get me to learn investment.
National failure of regions to be visible – the overselling of a concept.

Virginia's lack of investment in education.

A lot of failure/initial failure of ideas relates to timing – and an unreceptive audience/public.

Winchester wants to/does benefit from the region’s growth, but it doesn't want to invest.

Denial of failure of the systems to teach and care for the young.

Failure to integrate/failure to envision integration.

There is only conquest, but that is a reaction producing event. Dominance leads to a demand for responsibility.

Strength w/o failure? Can it be?

I'd always viewed myself as weak – then I had to see myself as strong. Even as I hold my place @ LFPDC – I'm strong (or w/o options) which irritates some, confuses others and allows me to pursue integration.

I failed to recognize I had enemies – people who disagreed with me. They lived in different worlds and did not see/feel the trends.

Humanity is trending to one diversity. "One Earth Diversity" Local planet regional communities. Single point reality. Humanity's failure to see one Earth, one race is the primary cause of pain. The physical separation has led to cultural/religious antagonism. In the short term, the physically powerful collective's dominate.

Knowledge is the antidote – the unity factor. It is in our other mind – it is the community of spirit. Earth Spell – manifestation hides/obscures/denies it.
8:20 p.m. Home… Some tips from Joe Bageant – write essays of 2000 words. Dictate them first then edit it down. That's about what I was planning – he could be an ally in my storytelling.

Joe & Barb have a nice old home in Winchester. Very collectible & historic items on the wall. I wonder why have so little – yet it's too much. Were that I had money in the bank. My life has been devoted to my kids, my parents – M.E. for a time – my work and my search for truth about my current place in the creation. In the world I do not want lots of relationships outside my work. All my time has gone into my work. Joe recognized that – (I hope it wasn't B.S.) and encouraged me to write my story and not worry about an audience.

– thoughts today – the gentrification of the Valley – the expulsion of the natives.

The car changed everything. Walking no longer works. Market density is created with parking places.

All they do is shop. …

I'm avoiding people – just because I don't want the distraction of conversation.
9:55 p.m. Practice #2 Those who fail – have a great need for Knowledge. The text says "Let your need for Knowledge not be underestimated", it also says "For every step you take towards Knowledge you give your accomplishment to the world, and you lessen the burden of all who struggle with their own fantasies and sense of failure".

Those who have failed – may not know they have failed. Yet – they give a lesson to me. Slobodan Milošević – the Serbian President who committed atrocities against the Croats –Kosovars – Albanians… he has great need for K. Hitler and his attack on the Jews – great need. The American use of slavery and its legacy. The European/American genocide of Native Americans. Great, Great need for Knowledge.

The fallacy of: I have my mine. The need stops here. People in poverty treated as though they deserve it.

Hurt, injured, twisted minds – out of contact with Spirit and self. Me too.

Were I infused with Knowledge/Holy Spirit – could I stay in my skin? Stay sane?

Spirituality can be briefly touched. Brought to the surface/centered.

When others fail – I'm reminded of others need/my need for K. The "news" is mostly that. The failure of others – war, accidents, crime, domestic violence, fire – so… the greatest failure is to not learn from the failure of others? That may be the most common/cumulative failure. Planning is to be a process where we learn from failure – start with a design higher up curve.

I need to get K deeper in my awareness.

The Steps page contains a few thoughts:

On the second page: “Think not they are not saving you time. They are saving you time.” The note: “Both ACIM/S2K – saving time is overcoming separation.” Coming to Knowledge/Holy Spirit brings about the correction of the separation. The sooner one gets to this point, the more time that is saved. When might the separation end? Millions and millions of year; as much time into the future as has already occurred since separation. We are about half-way, which is my working understanding.

Failure in life is not very hard to catalog. We are learning in Steps that failure is a learning tool. Nothing is wasted but time, which is what we can save by learning the lessons presented and applying them. Let us continue.

Note: If you’ve some interest due to this or other Steps, you should go to the beginning blog post. From here you will learn about Steps to Knowledge and can begin it on the day that makes sense; then progress as needed. You can use the posts on this blog as a companion if it helps. They will remain in order in the archives - one post per Step.

Often it takes 18 months to get through the Steps once. For this blog, the pace is one-a-day, but it really makes no difference how fast you do it, only that you begin, persist and repeat. Posts here provide a trail that may let you have a virtual companion when and if you want one. One may have to study alone, as I did in the beginning. There are other Steps students blogging their experience and you might find a person more like you as a companion, or use a number of such Steps journeys. There are options as well through the Free School of the New Message.
