Today I will honor the source of my preparation. Step 343

HONOR THE SOURCE OF YOUR PREPARATION by being a student of Knowledge today. Remember this upon the hour and think again about what being a student of Knowledge means. Try to recall all that has been given to you and all that is being reinforced and try to recognize objectively that which obstructs you and holds you back. Strengthen your faith. Strengthen your participation. Use your power of decision to do so, and remember as you do this that you honor and represent that which guides you and that which you serve.

IN YOUR TWO DEEPER PRACTICE PERIODS, actively engage your mind in considering what today’s idea means. Remember that you can only serve that which you value. If you value Knowledge, you will serve Knowledge. If you value ignorance and darkness, you will serve that. That which you value is your master, and your master will give you that which you must learn. You are a student of Knowledge. You are a student of Knowledge because you have chosen that your studenthood and the master that guides you reflect Knowledge and truth in the world. Here you only have two choices, for you can only serve Knowledge or that which attempts to replace Knowledge. Since nothing can really replace Knowledge, the desire to serve that which replaces Knowledge is the desire to serve nothing, to be nothing and to have nothing. This is what we mean when we speak of poverty. It is a state of serving nothing, being nothing and having nothing.

THEREFORE, HONOR THAT WHICH SERVES YOU. Honor that which acknowledges your reality and the meaning and the value of your presence in the world, and you will serve something real, you will be something real and you will have something real. Thus it is that you who are learning to serve will be the one who is learning to receive.

From the journal:  Step 342 - I am a student of Knowledge today.

8:22 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2001 – At the hotel – early in the a.m. Step 342 – "I am a student of Knowledge today".

7:47 p.m. At the Dorf Haus – Northwest of Madison – returning from the Dells – where we took the river boat trip. Practice 1.5? A day of moving. Am I a Student of K? What does it mean? I'm trying to connect to spirit – Holy Spirit – bring in light for the purpose of cooperation among humanity as it enters the Greater Community of Worlds. This is no doubt true. It is quite simple to imagine.

This morning – at the State Historical Museum – I saw a representation of 11,000 years of history in Wisconsin from the end of the last ice age to the Indian population of the North American continent to the French traders to statehood of Wisconsin in 1848 and settlement throughout the State. The fact that Manitowoc County – a German populated area was considered to be one of Kaiser sympathy – sedition in WW I – the depression – Governor La Follett – and the Wisconsin programs that were precursors/prototypes of FDR's programs. The Socialist history – democracy – business corruption of government – all the pioneer equipment – the physical life of the loggers – Wisconsin Death Trip not noted. The focus on the 20th Century. At the start – a vision of good child care for every child – unfulfilled at the end of the Century.

At the Dells I gave a greater spirituality cover for the UFO museum. I need to drop one on State Street? Will there be time?

So…this trip to my geographic home – Manitowoc – Two Rivers – learning that the "House of Death" was the site of a suicide – amazing to me to have had that sense.

11/7/01 – "Mom said in her notes I cried for an hour every night – 6 PM – 7 PM – no matter what they did".

So – do I travel differently as a student? Can I bring something to people subliminally in spirit? That has been a goal for a long time.

The regional message gets stronger – but it is old.

11:11 p.m. – Think constructively – I've tried to do that throughout my life. Tonight I took a GC Spirituality cover to the Shakti Bookstore on State Street. Checked for others – but it seemed the best. I wrote a note…left it in the mail slot. Will it last until tomorrow a.m.?

I was going to read a lot – do a lot this vacation – but it is been light. Still, but active in the world…a noble goal. Were I younger – would I do more? Could I do more?

If – in the next ten, twenty, thirty years – 54 – 84 – I can advance visibility of regions – that would be good. That would benefit the world.
