Today: CT Step 32 - The wise depend upon me. (MP3)
The wise depend upon me. CT Step 32 |
It is true. The wise do depend upon you and many
others like you, for you have come into the world to serve the world. Because
of this, you serve a greater purpose and a greater hierarchy in the universe.
This is your Spiritual Family. This is the great group that has brought you
into the world to contribute to a world in need, a world whose emergence into
the Greater Community has now arrived, a world whose needs are tremendous and
whose predicament is great.
Therefore, do not look at yourself in a
self-deprecating way. Do not think of yourself the way you have thought of
yourself in the past, as weak and pathetic. Instead, reclaim your true
authority and identity, even if you are only beginning to experience its
reality, for in this way, you open yourself to receive the great truth that
lives within you and that wishes to express itself through you. This is how God
will redeem you. Reclaiming your strength and your true identity, learning the
wisdom of the world and receiving the gifts of Heaven—-these are the things
that will call forth your strength and will cast out all the demons that live
within your mind and around you, that plague you, haunt you and keep you living
in the darkness of your own imagination.
Come forth today then in your own practice in
stillness. Dedicate your practice as an act of submission and of
strength—-submitting your personal preoccupations to a Greater Power and
exercising the strength of that Greater Power within yourself.
In your hourly practices, exercise this strength
and authority. Do not hesitate. You do this for yourself and for all others who
await escape from the bondage of their conditioning and their own personal
enslavement. This, then, is the great promise that you have come to fulfill,
and great gifts can be given through you if you can fulfill and take advantage
of this opportunity.
Practice 32: One
30-minute stillness practice.
Contemplation practice.
Hourly practice.
Pictures: This Confucius portrait is in the
Fasting Palace on the Temple
of Heaven grounds, Beijing, China Pictures taken – June, 2010. Confucius is
remembered as a wise man and teacher. Was he a student of Knowledge? We don’t
know, but the description of his life suggests he thought and acted in history
as such a student. The Fasting Palace, shown below, was where the Emperor of
China prepared for the ritual sacrifices to heaven at the Temple of Heaven.

Step 31 - I must learn to use the power that has been given to me.
7:45
a.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2001.
Power
and authority – in spirit for the world. I need the wisdom to use mine,
whatever it is ultimately. Promotion of cooperation is my heartfelt area of
work. I’ll continue in that mundane area as long as spirit is with me or until
I'm directed elsewhere.
The
entry this day is short and focused. This is where Knowledge is taking us it
seems. We continue.

Note: If you’ve some interest, but this is the
first time you’ve seen Steps, you should go to the beginning blog post. From here you will learn about Steps to Knowledge
and can begin it on the day that makes sense; then progress as needed. Begin at
the beginning.
If you do know about Steps, but have not done Steps
twice completely, read the related materials, and have a sense of the direction
of this study, you won’t get the experience. The Introduction begins:
“This is the Steps
to Knowledge Continuation Training. It is designed to build upon the Steps
that were learned in Steps to Knowledge to
enable you to experience the grace, the power and the direction of Knowledge in
your life and to become an expression of Knowledge in everything that you do.
If you have completed the book, Steps to
Knowledge, twice through and have followed the instructions as they were
given without altering the curriculum in any way, then you are now ready to
begin this more advanced study”.
If you are an independent student, that is
certainly an option. Posts here provide a trail that may let you have a virtual
companion when and if you want one. One may have to study alone, as I did in
the beginning. There are other Steps students blogging their experience and you
might find a person more like you as a companion, or use a number of such Steps
journeys. There are options as well through the Free School of the New Message.
