Today: CT Step 33 - I practice for myself and for all
others who seek to be free. (MP3)
I practice for myself and for all others who seek to be free. CT Step 33 |
Think of yourself as practicing for all who seek to
be free. See yourself as fighting for their freedom as well as your own. See
yourself as a forerunner, as a leader of others in this regard, for you are
blazing a new trail. You are beginning a new tradition. You are bringing the
freshness of Spirit into the religions of the world and into the reality of the
world. For The Way of Knowledge is The Way of Spirit as it truly expresses
itself in your world and throughout the Greater Community.
Therefore, think of yourself as working for others
as well as for yourself. This will strengthen your resolve and strengthen your
commitment. You will then be able to use each day to bring greater strength,
purpose and hope into the world.
In your longer practice in stillness and in your hourly
practices in awareness and in discernment, exercise this strength and this
authority, which are given to you to use this day.
Practice 33: One
30-minute stillness practice.
Contemplation practice.
Hourly practice.

Step 32 - The wise depend upon me.
12:45
a.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2001 – Up late – home @ 12 from VMI – VA
Technology Conference where LFCC – CAIT won the top higher education award –
Joe Callahan, Dr. Marilyn Beck and I. A long trip – saw a few old friends –
1:35
a.m. Unwinding – again up late, creating a sleep deficit – TV watching. A
little bourbon – chocolate when I came – compulsive energy – talking to Joe
Callahan about the Valley issues and the next steps – he not agreeing.
Greek/free solutions came about through dialogue and debate – I'm often at
odds.
How
can I know that I'm free/or becoming more free from conditioning? I want to
serve – but there is resistance, unwillingness to integrate, to dialogue, to
seek a more whole view of the circumstance. The world is not without
evolutionary movement – I don't need a lot of recognition – just enough to
produce income.
2:10
a.m. Stomach pain; heart pain.
10:30
p.m. Step 32 "The Wise depend upon me". The long practice I did at
2:30 a.m. Who are the Wise and why do they depend upon me? "You (I) serve
your (my) Spiritual Family". Are they the wise or are the wise, the unseen
ones? The problem from the practices is that I/we humans are kept "living
in the darkness of your own imagination" because "the demons that
live within your mind and around you, that plague you, haunt you and keep you
living in the darkness of your own imagination". p. 40
Who
are the Wise? We are learning to listen and figure that out. Might we be
considered so some day? Much more work for me to get close to that. We
continue.

Note: If you’ve some interest, but this is the
first time you’ve seen Steps, you should go to the beginning blog post. From here you will learn about Steps to Knowledge
and can begin it on the day that makes sense; then progress as needed. Begin at
the beginning.
If you do know about Steps, but have not done Steps
twice completely, read the related materials, and have a sense of the direction
of this study, you won’t get the experience. The Introduction begins:
“This is the Steps
to Knowledge Continuation Training. It is designed to build upon the Steps
that were learned in Steps to Knowledge to
enable you to experience the grace, the power and the direction of Knowledge in
your life and to become an expression of Knowledge in everything that you do.
If you have completed the book, Steps to
Knowledge, twice through and have followed the instructions as they were
given without altering the curriculum in any way, then you are now ready to
begin this more advanced study”.
If you are an independent student, that is
certainly an option. Posts here provide a trail that may let you have a virtual
companion when and if you want one. One may have to study alone, as I did in
the beginning. There are other Steps students blogging their experience and you
might find a person more like you as a companion, or use a number of such Steps
journeys. There are options as well through the Free School of the New Message.
