“I am following the ancient rite of preparation
today.” Step 170
THIS
PREPARATION THAT YOU ARE UNDERTAKING is ancient in its origin. It has been used
for centuries, in this world and in other worlds as well. It is only adapted in
its language and in its relevancy to your current time, yet it prepares the
mind in the way that minds have always been prepared in The Way of Knowledge,
for Knowledge does not change and the preparations only adapt themselves to current
events and current understanding so that they may be relevant for the
recipients. Yet, the true mechanism for preparation is unchanged.
YOU
ARE UNDERTAKING AN ANCIENT RITE in the reclamation of Knowledge. Born of the
Great Will of the Universe, this preparation has been constructed for the
advancement of students of Knowledge. You are working in tandem now with many
other individuals, both within this world and within other worlds as well. For
Knowledge is being taught in all worlds where intelligent life exists. Thus,
your efforts are supported and embellished by the efforts of those who are
preparing with you. In this, you represent a community of learners. Think not,
then, that your efforts are singular. Think not, then, that you are alone in
the world undertaking the reclamation of Knowledge. Think not, then, that you
are not part of a community of learners. This will be more evident to you in
time as you begin to recognize those who are preparing with you. This will be
more evident in time as your experience of the presence of your Teachers
deepens. This will be more evident in time as the results of your Knowledge
become evident even to you. This will be more evident in time as you consider
your life as part of a Greater Community of Worlds.
REMIND
YOURSELF OF YOUR PRACTICE UPON THE HOUR. In your deeper practices in stillness,
receive the benefit of all who practice with you. Remind yourself that you are
not alone and that their rewards are given to you as your rewards are given to
them. Thus, you share in your accomplishments together. The power of your
undertaking is so tremendously supported by the endeavor and the giving of
others that it far exceeds your own abilities. When this is realized, it will
give you all manner of encouragement and will banish forever the idea that you
are inadequate to the tasks that are given to you. For your giving is
supplemented by the giving of others, and this represents the Will of God in
the universe.

a.m. February 4, 2001 S2K – the purpose of meaningful relationships is to feel
connection to all the world – all life.

a.m. GCW – I – Disappointment – Chapter 27 – The path to truth. Peace is a
dynamic – my intuition was correct. GCW confirms my thinking…which means what?…
My teachers have been successful in time – we are working together – but of
course I was told by Christen – I was with the group – and my purpose is
emerging and I'm dealing with more disappointments – grieving still the PDC
unburdening and seeing my perspective needed in the greater world and having no
path obvious to getting there. C-SPAN & C-SPAN2 are great windows.
Everywhere there is a vision of one world – but boundaries get in the way.

continue to simplify & re-simplify – more elegant design – iterational, generational
approach to quality?
You
bound things/create boundaries – classify, segment, control→yet drilling
down you find infinite complexity @ every point of creation.

Disappointment – Everything I loved left me – M.E., the Kids, my job – with no
expectation, there could be no disappointment. At work I was disappointed in
the ability of others – but more my inability to communicate what I saw/what I
see. I see opportunity – but have not the focus, resources to actualize – that
is disappointing – so I sought truth and found community as the response to my
not being God – not finding God.
God's
children band together to create security of heaven which we've lost in coming
to the physical.
The
Body of Christ, A Community of God – a biological response to the environment.
The
Kingdoms of God are @ hand.
How
can I know, how can this be true, if I do not have healing powers? Is that a
confusion of levels? Yes
Knowing
the relationship to God is not being God. Once you know your place – you can
grow your soul/spirit family.
Infuse
the physical and mental realms with spirit – Holy Spirit/Knowledge. Pursue
mystery with respect. Be still and know.

manifests on earth through community. Bounded, separate communities seek to
protect & defend themselves – they isolate, over organize and self-idolatrize
becoming rigid, non-supportive of living –

Greater Community networks the smaller communities – communities of hu-mans –
or whatever.
True
community is the face of God – the body of Christ. Single goal is community.
That is the answer to loneliness.
RI –
recognition of the interrelationship of communities and crossing of boundaries
in the spirit of greater community.

a.m. Practice #1 – the above revelation – can it be so simple?

p.m. In my study. The world – my world adding a few stressors. Mom's in the
hospital – gall bladder – removed today – boom, boom, boom – those around do
their job.
Sarah
called @11:30 – she's pregnant. Not bad news I tell her. We drive to Leesburg –
I buy some Big Dog items for L & E. I call mom @ the hospital
tonight – talk to Penny and Dad. I call Sarah to see if she's feeling OK –
she's going out with friends. ...
With
S2K – GCW I feel so good and the world…it doesn't deny GCW – it fulfills the
description. Knowledge must be closer to the surface in people's lives.
In
the a.m. Practice – cut short by Sarah's call – I had some thoughts I wanted to
keep. Haven’t recovered them yet.
Our
lives are imperfect, our systems squash initiative and have people be less than
they might – yet humanity grows, expands – and is sustained. I observe with a
quiet joy

p.m. Knowledge is my true pursuit; my pursuit of Spirit has led to K.
Big pile up this day. Again, this isn’t about my
life in particular, but the sort of things a student may have to navigate, for
better or worse, and to persist. Again I’m working to align Christian imagery
and language with Knowledge and my experiences with Steps. Some things may
sound profound, a mini-revelation – that in the moment help me along.
