CT Step 28 – REVIEW – Journal – CT Step 27

Today:  CT Step 28 – REVIEW (MP3)

Today review the prior six Steps and your journal. Also today practice once again in your long practice period your Four Pillar Review. Come back to your Pillars with as little fear and preference as possible because you want to practice seeing and knowing. Do not try to protect anything. Come to your Relationships, your Career and Providership, Health and Spiritual Advancement with as open a mind as possible. Ask yourself, "Which of my Pillars is weak right now? Which of my Pillars requires my attention? Where am I at risk? Where is my life jeopardized? Where can I be undermined?" Ask yourself these questions and pay special attention to any Pillar that stands out from all the rest.

Practice 28:   Four Pillars Review.
                         Hourly practice.

12:55 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2001
Still up tonight. I'm upset and confused about Sarah's situation. I'm challenged by many jobs @ work – ones that will bring benefit to the region. Step 27 – for today, is "I must learn to be discreet today". That would apply to Sarah's situation, which I can do little for.

8 a.m. Contemplating my letter to Senator Warner, Senator Allen, Congressman Wolf. Re: Homeland Security – Regional Communities – Regional Councils.

In February 2001, with the release of the Homeland Security proposals… – For as far as one might care to look into the future, this will be a concern. The foundation is in place in many states – the neutral regional table.

Regional community is already here – its energy needs to be harnessed.

3:05 p.m. SNP – Cliffs of Joseph – Joseph – a builder. My goal - building a conscious network of regional communities.

Senator John Warner, Senator George Allen, Representative Frank Wolf

When the Homelands Security report was introduced in February 2001, I immediately saw the need/opportunity for regional action in this area. There has been a long history of local government based Civil Defense and Emergency Preparedness including LEPC.

In order for Homeland Security to be effected – there must be an intelligent network that provides ocean to ocean and Canada – to Mexico coverage – grounded in local officials. Governance is there – it needs to be coordinated
Mid-level aggregation required - a regional approach is needed

At this point someone hauls out a state map and begins a top-down carving of regions –

This was done in the 60s – Virginia a fine example –

Contemplation – discretion. In today's Step, that is the characteristic to cultivate. Ed D… said I talked too much. He was probably right. Lots of people hold thoughts close, or don't have thoughts at all. I get lots of ideas, getting them more. I have this journal because there is no one to present them to. They do hold up inside me… percolate – and the challenge is to get them out discreetly.

On the walk in, the idea struck me like Jesus's admonition "Don't cast pearls before swine". – What I update as "pick your audience" and this would add – "all audiences".

It is, I guess RHG [Regional Harmonics Group] – my spirit guides, with whom I converse – mostly me – though there are answers.

– I guess the "strength & freedom" is a result of not needing feedback or recognition for what you do.

Text says: "you must face discomfort when you break the laws of manipulation. What are the laws of manipulation?”

Serious thinking is triggered by this Step and recorded in the journal. Yours will be of a different nature, but serious for you.

The broadcast of the conclusions of the U.S. Commission on National Security, which gave a broad review of U.S. national security for the 21st century was on February 2, 2001. I watched it live on CSPAN and saw the potential for regional councils to participate. That the threat was proven seven months and nine days later, 9/11/2001 was shocking. In response, I began to try to present the regional council networks as part of a solution.

We continue.

Note: If you’ve some interest, but this is the first time you’ve seen Steps, you should go to the beginning blog post. From here you will learn about Steps to Knowledge and can begin it on the day that makes sense; then progress as needed. Begin at the beginning.

If you do know about Steps, but have not done Steps twice completely, read the related materials, and have a sense of the direction of this study, you won’t get the experience. The Introduction begins:

“This is the Steps to Knowledge Continuation Training. It is designed to build upon the Steps that were learned in Steps to Knowledge to enable you to experience the grace, the power and the direction of Knowledge in your life and to become an expression of Knowledge in everything that you do. If you have completed the book, Steps to Knowledge, twice through and have followed the instructions as they were given without altering the curriculum in any way, then you are now ready to begin this more advanced study”.

If you are an independent student, that is certainly an option. Posts here provide a trail that may let you have a virtual companion when and if you want one. One may have to study alone, as I did in the beginning. There are other Steps students blogging their experience and you might find a person more like you as a companion, or use a number of such Steps journeys. There are options as well through the Free School of the New Message.
