Today: CT Step 21 – REVIEW (MP3)
In your Review today, once again practice your Four
Pillars Review exercise. Go
back to your former Review and read through the instructions that were given,
and engage in this practice. This will constitute your primary exercise today.
In addition, it is important to read the previous
six Steps, and if you are keeping a journal, which is recommended, read through
what has happened to you on those days so that you see how each Step corresponds
to your experience and your activities at that particular time.
In this way, this Review practice will have great
efficacy and will serve you well in your journey towards Knowledge. Deepen your
awareness of the Four Pillars of your life. Recognize which Pillars are weak
and require strengthening and readjustment. Recognize what change must be
brought about, what alterations must be made, to give you strength and
stability. For without this strength and stability, you cannot learn greater
things, and you will constantly be thwarted by your Pillars not being effective
in supporting you. For like the four legs of a table, you cannot put anything
great upon that table unless it is strong and sturdy.
Therefore, today continue building the foundation
for Knowledge and all that makes Knowledge possible in your life.
Practice 21: Four
Pillars Review.
Hourly
practice.

September
14, 2001 1:31 p.m.@ 522/208 – Louisa County.
Returning
from Richmond on I – 95 – a truck trailer with pipes made me nervous – then it
threw 2x4’s on the road as I 95 – 295 merged. I drove over one…that truck made
me nervous all the way – intuition had shown the pipes rolling off – that was
the warning… something would happen and it did, the wood.
At
Thornburg I was motivated to get off – I-95 too crazy for 12:41 p.m. driving.
Heading for 522 as an alternate route to Culpeper and back to Front Royal – I'm
now at 522 – eating a great BBQ sandwich – though I've wasted time, guidance
says this is "better". It was nice to see Lake Anna – I've never been
on 208 before – only on 522 – Culpeper to Mineral once. So – this is my lunch
break… – And I'm back on the road.
What
does it all mean in light of today's Step 20 "Today I will not forget that
I am here for a greater purpose".
5:25
p.m. Home. This is been a day. My guidance was on – and I avoided a traffic
backup. My alternate route took longer – any need to do something in the Lake
Anna area?
At
the VA PDC GIS/Technology meeting I volunteered to do minutes and contributed
to the discussion, saying the GIS Conference should grow. I also demonstrated
how the PD codes I created could be stripped into a spreadsheet to get a PD
sort
6:36
PM. Contemplation – Step 20 – "Today I will not forget that I am here for
a greater purpose". When coming downstairs to do the meditation @ 6 p.m. I
looked at the things in the house and wondered why there was so much stuff and
could I get by with less.
Perhaps
I could understand now the Blue & Brown Books of Wittgenstein.
PDC
work – regional planning may be my mundane work. It is important, though I
don't know if it is my greater work. I know for the pillar of health I need to
do more work – exercise to strengthen and diet change.
Right
now I sit alone. To have the world see and understand what I see will be
difficult. It won't be magic…I can't just present at once. Still… I do have 30
more years…and that's how I have to approach it. There is time – I need to make
the ideas visible…like the regions.
Step
20 says the greater purpose will become Known to you at the appointed time.
Making regions visible – the mechanism for cooperation, became my mission in
1998 – after the 1st conference – National Regional Counsel Summit. Since then,
the topic has grown greatly in my mind and humanity has become a single race,
not by my doing, but the unraveling of the science/genetics of it.
I'm
a pundit without an audience – but I'm so busy on the details of learning –
building the foundation… that I'm overwhelmed.
The
Step says, "Build this inner awareness, this position of observing without
condemnation in order to know. You need to Know. You want to Know".
–
When I did my hourly checks, the need to Know answer was "trust". As
I wandered along 208 – the proof came quickly on the radio as I was on 522. The
energy of the road – I got the message it was time to get off.
10:32
p.m. Hungry for sugar and fat – can't eat too healthy, too soon,
>
on the road – my heart changed about Sarah and Susan – I want Sarah to be able
to raise her baby –
→Multi-centered
regionalism – there are settlements everywhere – each a local
center for some little catchment area.
An
important Step. It was tested in the world that day, and many days since. We
continue.

Note: If you’ve some interest, but this is the
first time you’ve seen Steps, you should go to the beginning blog post. From here you will learn about Steps to Knowledge
and can begin it on the day that makes sense; then progress as needed. Begin at
the beginning.
If you do know about Steps, but have not done Steps
twice completely, read the related materials, and have a sense of the direction
of this study, you won’t get the experience. The Introduction begins:
“This is the Steps
to Knowledge Continuation Training. It is designed to build upon the Steps
that were learned in Steps to Knowledge to
enable you to experience the grace, the power and the direction of Knowledge in
your life and to become an expression of Knowledge in everything that you do.
If you have completed the book, Steps to
Knowledge, twice through and have followed the instructions as they were
given without altering the curriculum in any way, then you are now ready to
begin this more advanced study”.
If you are an independent student, that is
certainly an option. Posts here provide a trail that may let you have a virtual
companion when and if you want one. One may have to study alone, as I did in
the beginning. There are other Steps students blogging their experience and you
might find a person more like you as a companion, or use a number of such Steps
journeys. There are options as well through the Free School of the New Message.
