x2 Step 322 – Review~ … view your participation objectively. Here you will learn how to learn – Journal – Step 321

Today:  Step 322 – Review~ … view your participation objectively. Here you will learn how to learn … (MP3)

LET US NOW REVIEW THE PAST TWO WEEKS OF PREPARATION. Once again review each step, rereading its instructions carefully and recalling your practice for that particular day. Carry this forward for all the days in this two-week period. Be objective and recognize where your practice could have become deeper or more conscientious. Recognize how you still let the world overtake you and how you need to reapply yourself with greater certainty and determination. Do this objectively. Condemnation will only discourage you and will only lead you to quit your participation, for condemnation is simply the decision not to participate and the justification for not participating.

THEREFORE, DO NOT FALL INTO THIS HABIT, but view your participation objectively. Here you will learn how to learn, and you will learn how to prepare yourself and govern yourself. You must choose to participate, and you must choose to deepen your participation. Every decision you make on behalf of Knowledge is supported by the decisions of all others who are making the same decision and by the power and the presence of your Teachers who are with you. Thus, your decision for Knowledge, whenever it is made and supported, is greatly amplified by the presence of all who practice with you and by the presence of your Spiritual Teachers. This is certainly adequate to overcome any obstacle you view within yourself or within your world.

THE POWER OF DECISION IS GIVEN TO YOU. Here the power of decision is to view your participation objectively and to recognize where it can be deepened and strengthened. Resolve within the next two weeks of practice to carry forth what you have recognized as necessary this day. Here you will be acting powerfully on   your own behalf, and the application of your power will be in the service of Knowledge, for you are preparing to receive Knowledge. Here your will and your determination are confirmed, for they serve a greater good.

PRACTICE 322: One long practice period.

7:29 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2001 – Am I in the wrong place to be doing my work? No.

Yesterday – Regionalism works only when regions are defined. Without definition community is limited. Where communities don't have boundaries, they seek to create them – …

Localities have to deal with the fact that they are in many regional alignments – how do they coordinate that?

World without end. Amen

9:40 a.m. Email and Internet distraction. I see – but have no audience. My writing skills – didn't develop them. I wanted to be in the action – thus planning. Yet the real problems are spiritual – and that is taboo as the subject. Bringing a vision – birthing it.

9:55 a.m. Technology is created by sophisticated information users. In the early stages it requires sophisticated users. Over time interfaces are simplified. Then there's the content.

2:03 p.m. At Little Bear. After Rotary I decided to take hike. Cindy said I should do something on my vacation. It seemed like a good idea. I spent the a.m. providing comments to Fast Company. I'm still convinced that is the way for incentives to be created for regional strategies.

Approaching Patience I was directed left – going to the top of the drive. Much steeper. On the descent – nothing of interest is the meditation site.

I don't miss the PDC, but I would miss a check. There is plenty to do there. If other ideas lead to paying work, I'll follow.

On the way up – still not knowing what to do with the marriage relationship. Still rocky after 10 years – yikes!

I remain committed to David and Sarah. That was my error… sticking with M.E. I could have gone to Kentucky. Probably be the same place career wise – and life would have been different.

With the GCW acknowledgment of error and destiny, it is hard to know one from the other. Well – that's not true. I wasn't honest – and stayed with M.E. With Cindy, I ignored what I didn't like.

So – in the greater perspective, that may be healed as I connect with my K, seems a decent way to run the universe…so – I'll stick with it as long as it works. If it doesn't work – it won't be truth and I won't experience freedom.

4:10 p.m. Pillars review – 4 years

1. Relationships – peace

2. Career and Providership – Ed

3. My health – those of others – water

4. Spiritual advancement – yes –

6:32 p.m. David called. His fines are paid. He's been checked in and out of jail. It was tough for him.
– The long practice is tomorrow – but I want to start now …

The resolution "My personality has nothing to do with the resolution. My family has nothing to do with resolution. The resolution is a perspective few have taken. It needs to be taken sooner rather than later.

12:02 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2001 – Friday night – pizza, movie, beer, silence

Earlier – life is efficient, technology is not as wasteful. Mass production (destruction) seems to make it so.

Thought and writing is increasing; each Step requires more attention. Learning to learn. Let us continue.

Note: If you’ve some interest due to this or other Steps, you should go to the beginning blog post. From here you will learn about Steps to Knowledge and can begin it on the day that makes sense; then progress as needed. You can use the posts on this blog as a companion if it helps. They will remain in order in the archives - one post per Step.

Often it takes 18 months to get through the Steps once. For this blog, the pace is one-a-day, but it really makes no difference how fast you do it, only that you begin, persist and repeat. Posts here provide a trail that may let you have a virtual companion when and if you want one. One may have to study alone, as I did in the beginning. There are other Steps students blogging their experience and you might find a person more like you as a companion, or use a number of such Steps journeys. There are options as well through the Free School of the New Message.
