Today: CT Step 65 - I surround and protect myself with the love and the grace of God. (MP3)
I surround and protect myself with the love and the grace of God. CT Step 65 |
Today practice this invocation: "I surround
and protect myself with the love and the grace of God." When you practice
opening yourself, surround yourself with this presence. Call forth the Unseen
Ones to be with you to guard you and to protect your mind as it is learning to
open. There is much in the universe that you do not want to become receptive
to. Create this protection and your mind can open safely. In a house you want a
good roof over your head. Think of the Unseen Ones as a roof over your head to
protect you against the elements.
Practice your meditation in stillness, but upon the
hour today, say, "I surround and protect myself with the love and grace of
God." Take a moment to experience this. Let this become part of your
experience today.
Practice 65: One
30-minute stillness practice.
Contemplation practice.
Hourly practice.

Parliament of World Religions, Salt Lake City, Utah. This “physical surrounding”
might be taken as a visualization of the invocation in Step 65.

a.m. E.S.T, – I like my life. I think I have the core of my speech. The
environment will enliven it.
The
NSV has been the perfect laboratory for my study, though I have been burned by
some of my experiments.
Things
do move, but it occurs slowly. I've had the privilege of seeing it.

they see a bigger world.

p.m. Good day; strange day. The UU talk went very well. I didn't get to all
points, but I did "perform" well.
We
went to Manassas and in McKay's Used Books I ended up picking a book on the 21
Laws of Leadership [PDF].
I thought I'd given up on leadership with the PDC thing, but I know I need to
lead people to think about regions. I spent some time with the book just now –
and found that I can still be a leader without the position at the RC of Exec.
Dir. That kept me from the focus I needed on RI-RC. Had we been a bigger
organization I might have had the free time I need – but not LFPDC.

Note: If you’ve some interest, but this is the
first time you’ve seen Steps, you should go to the beginning blog post. From here you will learn about Steps to Knowledge
and can begin it on the day that makes sense; then progress as needed. Begin at
the beginning.
If you do know about Steps, but have not done Steps
twice completely, read the related materials, and have a sense of the direction
of this study, you won’t get the experience. The Introduction begins:
“This is the Steps
to Knowledge Continuation Training. It is designed to build upon the Steps
that were learned in Steps to Knowledge to
enable you to experience the grace, the power and the direction of Knowledge in
your life and to become an expression of Knowledge in everything that you do.
If you have completed the book, Steps to
Knowledge, twice through and have followed the instructions as they were
given without altering the curriculum in any way, then you are now ready to
begin this more advanced study”.
If you are an independent student, that is
certainly an option. Posts here provide a trail that may let you have a virtual
companion when and if you want one. One may have to study alone, as I did in
the beginning. There are other Steps students blogging their experience and you
might find a person more like you as a companion, or use a number of such Steps
journeys. There are options as well through the Free School of the New Message.
