Let peace be with me today. CT Step 83 |
There is peace in knowing that you are on the right
track. Even if you have much work to do. There is peace in knowing that your
life is coming into right order within yourself. There is peace in confirming
that your relationship with Knowledge is being honored and furthered. There is
peace in knowing that resolution is coming in conflicts and relationships
around you.
When you attend to what you know and follow what
you know, this gives you inner confirmation. This heals the division within
yourself and brings real restitution to your experience. As you advance as a
student of Knowledge, your problems will be more and more circumstantial and
not personal in nature. You will encounter difficult thresholds along the way,
but increasingly you will not be the problem. The Wise are more concerned with
negotiating circumstances than they are with negotiating internal difficulties.
This is an unparalleled freedom and accomplishment.
As you speak to others today, you will hear how
much they do not have this peace. You will see that they are not yet right with
themselves and how much work remains for this to be accomplished. Therefore,
take time today to experience this peace in your meditation in stillness and in
your hourly practice. Look with gratitude upon your life, for it is moving. You
are escaping the past. You are leaving the past behind. You are moving into a
new life and a new awareness and understanding. The power is in your life, and
Grace is abiding with you as you are learning to abide with it
Practice 83: One
30-minute stillness practice.
Contemplation practice.
Hourly practice.

Step 82 - Great joy is with me today.
7:55
a.m. November 15, 2001 – Step 82 "Great joy is with me today". Are
there spirits committed to the evolution of humanity? It seems so. The thrill
of manifestation in the physical – (is there one? – seems so)
10:09
a.m. My life – the norm "silent desperation" – my life is "deep
inspiration".
A
misquote on my part from Henry D. Thoreau's “Walden”
“The
mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation. What is called resignation
is confirmed desperation. From the desperate city you go into the desperate
country, and have to console yourself with the bravery of minks and muskrats. A
stereotyped but unconscious despair is concealed even under what are called the
games and amusements of mankind. There is no play in them, for this comes after
work. But it is a characteristic of wisdom not to do desperate things.”
I
continue to write. The goal needs to be to publish.
10:27
p.m. "Great joy is with me today". It is good that the region is
moving forward. I don't have to do it all. It is a quiet joy. Dad is home. Mom
was stressed-out, but both are stronger. I told Mom tonight that I admired her
strength and that she was an inspiration to me. Now it seems déjà vu as I think
about it.
Where
do people get the idea of freedom if they are raised in controlled – mind
controlled environment. It is an amazing thing to be a free person in the USA.

We
continue. Nearly done with Continuation Training’s 84 Steps for the first time.

Note: If you’ve some interest, but this is the
first time you’ve seen Steps, you should go to the beginning blog post. From here you will learn about Steps to Knowledge
and can begin it on the day that makes sense; then progress as needed. Begin at
the beginning.
If you do know about Steps, but have not done Steps
twice completely, read the related materials, and have a sense of the direction
of this study, you won’t get the experience. The Introduction begins:
“This is the Steps
to Knowledge Continuation Training. It is designed to build upon the Steps
that were learned in Steps to Knowledge to
enable you to experience the grace, the power and the direction of Knowledge in
your life and to become an expression of Knowledge in everything that you do.
If you have completed the book, Steps to
Knowledge, twice through and have followed the instructions as they were
given without altering the curriculum in any way, then you are now ready to
begin this more advanced study”.
If you are an independent student, that is
certainly an option. Posts here provide a trail that may let you have a virtual
companion when and if you want one. One may have to study alone, as I did in
the beginning. There are other Steps students blogging their experience and you
might find a person more like you as a companion, or use a number of such Steps
journeys. There are options as well through the Free School of the New Message.
