Today: CT Step 84 – REVIEW (MP3)
As we come to the end of this third part in your
Steps Continuation Training, it is important that you read the last week of
lessons and once again engage in your Four Pillar Review.
However, see this as a continuation, for you are
building something now. You have not come to the end of the Continuation
Training. You are merely part of the Continuation itself. Learning the skills
that we have given you in this preparation will make you strong and effective.
Therefore, continue onward in your study of Steps
to Knowledge. That is why we call it the Continuation Training. It has no
end though at some point you will reach a place where you will not need to
engage in it any further. Yet there is much work to be done, and you know that
you have not fully learned those things that have been asked of you and shown
to you in these many weeks of study.
Therefore, you have our blessings to continue, for
you are at the beginning of a great endeavor. Those who continue will advance.
And those who advance will understand not only their accomplishment but the
means of preparation itself. They will be the ones in a position to help others
prepare and to bring the gift of preparation into whatever service they may
render to others in the future. For there will be others who will want to know
why and how these people have achieved such a state of equanimity in their life,
such a state of strength, balance and self-determination. How can it be that
they are so free from so many things that paralyze other people? How can it be
that they accomplish so much and be so dedicated? How can it be that their gift
is so great that they can keep giving it without it being exhausted?
People will ask about these things and wonder. And
you then can be in a position to help them, for you have made the journey. You
know how many steps it requires. You know the patience, the determination and
the self-trust that had to be established along the way. And you know the
dangers and the pitfalls. Yet you will know the promise and the gift that such
a preparation can give to those who can continue onward. Let us continue. Nasi

From the journal:
I
value Knowledge beyond all things. Step 83
6:48
a.m. Friday, November 16, 2001 – I am on the right path – with S2K – Contemplation…looking
back at the emergence of that path. Step 83 "Let peace be with me
today". The text says "There is peace in knowing that you are on the
right track".
Thinking
about my "track" it saw – named the emergence of regional community,
and now seeks to expand application of the ideas.
→ regional
community – a networking of networks. –
2:30
p.m. At home…on leave… Friday afternoon. Reviewing the text of today's Step. It
says, "Look with gratitude upon your life, for it is moving. You are
escaping the past. You are leaving the past behind. You are moving into a new
life in a new awareness and understanding. The power is in your life, and Grace
is abiding with you as you are learning to abide with it".
My
new life is born of my old life. It is feeling better…to be free of the burden
of proof for LFPDC – it has become an institution.
5:05
p.m. Where am I? Am I moving into overwhelm or into "peace". Spent
the past hour plus looking at the issue of Unitarian Universalist
"congregational polity". They revisited it with a commission in 1997.
I bought it at the Norfolk UU because I felt it had some relevance to community.
It does – yet it is very challenging reading because of the way UU comes at
organization, the tradition being one of independent individuals.
It
GCS is to be manifest as a greater spiritual path, I wonder how people will
organize and teach others.
I was
tired coming home from work –
5:30
p.m. → I reviewed my
infinite community piece from Wednesday. It has a few interesting points. It is
not as strong as it seemed @ the time.
9:40
p.m. "The Wise are more concerned with negotiating circumstances than they
are with negotiating internal difficulties". This reflects a shift away
from personal problems. I'm trying to understand this.
Building regional communities – and the framework
for doing so…
I
feel that I’m on the right track, according to the journal, with just one Review
Step to go. I will begin again immediately and go on to do the CT Steps again. Though
out the period from November 18, 2001 up to this day, I’ve kept a journal, so
there would be much to transcribe – but I don’t know if that would benefit
other students. I’m only presenting my work as an example of honest/ugly
journaling.
As
of this point, I plan to keep posting CT Steps again from the beginning, using
different photos when I have one. At some point I may go on to consider other
of the NM publications, utilizing my journal reactions.
I
am still working on the issues of human community and have had a long term
succession of insights which I seek to get into the narrative record of the
world of governmental planning.
We
continue.

Note: If you’ve some interest, but this is the
first time you’ve seen Steps, you should go to the beginning blog post. From here you will learn about Steps to Knowledge
and can begin it on the day that makes sense; then progress as needed. Begin at
the beginning.
If you do know about Steps, but have not done Steps
twice completely, read the related materials, and have a sense of the direction
of this study, you won’t get the experience. The Introduction begins:
“This is the Steps
to Knowledge Continuation Training. It is designed to build upon the Steps
that were learned in Steps to Knowledge to
enable you to experience the grace, the power and the direction of Knowledge in
your life and to become an expression of Knowledge in everything that you do.
If you have completed the book, Steps to
Knowledge, twice through and have followed the instructions as they were
given without altering the curriculum in any way, then you are now ready to
begin this more advanced study”.
If you are an independent student, that is
certainly an option. Posts here provide a trail that may let you have a virtual
companion when and if you want one. One may have to study alone, as I did in
the beginning. There are other Steps students blogging their experience and you
might find a person more like you as a companion, or use a number of such Steps
journeys. There are options as well through the Free School of the New Message.
