CT Step 80 - I have a gift that I share with others. – Journal – CT Step 79

Today:  CT Step 80 - I have a gift that I share with others. (MP3)

I have a gift that I share with others. CT Step 80
Your great gift is meant to be given in conjunction with the giving of others. You do not get to be a superstar in reality. Your contribution comes through relationship. You have part of the gift. They have part of the gift. You give together. It is your relationship that gives and makes the giving possible. This serves as a perfect antidote to all personal ambition and self-glorification. Even the advanced man or woman of Knowledge represents relationship. Without this relationship--with the Unseen Ones, with Knowledge, with others--their gift would only be a potential. Yet they have built the relationships. That is why they have advanced.

You are building the relationships. That is why you have the promise of advancement. Your giving is shared with others. This is the key. Find the others that have the other part of your gift and become united with them. Bring into these relationships all that you have learned and allow others to teach you more. This will generate real humility. Real humility is the recognition that you understand the nature of power and its expression in the universe.

Exercise this today in your practice in stillness and in your hourly practice. Exercise the awareness that a Greater Power is working in your life, that you are working in your life and that everything is working together. It is towards this that you are working today and every day as you practice as a student of Knowledge. You have not achieved this balance yet, but it is growing. Each step in this direction gives you strength, power and confirmation, which are the elements that redeem you to yourself and to the world.

Practice 80:   One 30-minute stillness practice.
                         Contemplation practice.
                         Hourly practice.

12:14 a.m. Monday, November 12, 2001

– Late to bed. Still wound up. Was Sunday productive? I read the prior journal and highlighted a few points for the return. K has been the focus of the day. It bothers me that there are so few people here in Virginia Beach - Tidewater. Sprawl is all. There are no cities. That scares me. Everyone is physically isolated. Amen & Amen NNC

8:10 a.m. Up – thinking of how complex the world looks – relationship wise. Dreamt of meeting a man who said he he worked on regions/PDs in VA 20 years before they were created – since WW II – 40s 1948.

Thinking one has a mission to fulfill makes being a student a more serious effort. We continue.

Note: If you’ve some interest, but this is the first time you’ve seen Steps, you should go to the beginning blog post. From here you will learn about Steps to Knowledge and can begin it on the day that makes sense; then progress as needed. Begin at the beginning.

If you do know about Steps, but have not done Steps twice completely, read the related materials, and have a sense of the direction of this study, you won’t get the experience. The Introduction begins:

“This is the Steps to Knowledge Continuation Training. It is designed to build upon the Steps that were learned in Steps to Knowledge to enable you to experience the grace, the power and the direction of Knowledge in your life and to become an expression of Knowledge in everything that you do. If you have completed the book, Steps to Knowledge, twice through and have followed the instructions as they were given without altering the curriculum in any way, then you are now ready to begin this more advanced study”.

If you are an independent student, that is certainly an option. Posts here provide a trail that may let you have a virtual companion when and if you want one. One may have to study alone, as I did in the beginning. There are other Steps students blogging their experience and you might find a person more like you as a companion, or use a number of such Steps journeys. There are options as well through the Free School of the New Message.
