x2 Step 76 – Journal Step 75 - Today I will listen to my Self.

Today: Step 76 - Today I will not judge another.  (MP3) Journal - Step 75

Today I will not judge another. Step 76

WITHOUT JUDGMENT YOU CAN SEE. Without judgment you can learn. Without judgment your mind becomes open. Without judgment you understand yourself. Without judgment you can understand another.

UPON EACH HOUR TODAY, repeat this statement as you witness yourself and the world around you. Repeat this statement and feel its impact. Release your judgments for a few moments, and then feel the contrast and the experience that this will provide for you. Do not judge another today. Allow others to reveal themselves to you. Without judgment you will not suffer under your own crown of thorns. Without judgment you will feel the presence of your Teachers assisting you.

ALLOW YOUR HOURLY PRACTICES TO BE CONSISTENT. If an hour is missed, forgive yourself and rededicate yourself. Errors are to teach you, strengthen you and show you what you need to learn.

REGARDLESS OF WHAT ANOTHER IS DOING, regardless of how he or she may offend your sensitivities, your ideas or your values, do not judge another today.

PRACTICE 76: Hourly practice.

Listening to one’s Self, the True Self – hard to imagine that this element of me exists, so I do listen. What I wrote that day relates to my still evolving work.

From the journal

7:58 a.m. Thursday, November 2, 2000

Next week this time I'll be heading to Pennsylvania. I'd like to honor Howard… May do a plaque.

Governance and regions. There is plenty of governance, it's just not coordinated well. All of the US is settled.

Responding to global need – at the local level – they say either "we don't need it," or to the State "give us the resources and will do it."

State/Fed higher levels say we don't have all the resources to give you, why don't you cooperate with your neighbors – here's here's a nickel

9:39 a.m. At work…going with the institutional flow. I'm using this work to learn.

10:05 p.m. After a walk…on the walk… – there is a governmental "economy of scale" region – the PD and the market region at which the neighborhood, locality, city, County is the center.

– Regional community is a rural capacity building strategy

We accept for the purpose of Steps, as beginning students, that the Step is correct in saying what we must do and that the promise of recognizing the voice of our True Self will happen again. In the past we may have heard it, but not recognized it. Let us continue.

Note: If you’ve some interest due to this or other Steps, you should go to the beginning blog post. From here you will learn about Steps to Knowledge and can begin it on the day that makes sense; then progress as needed. You can use the posts on this blog as a companion if it helps. They will remain in order in the archives - one post per Step.

Often it takes 18 months to get through the Steps once. For this blog, the pace is one-a-day, but it really makes no difference how fast you do it, only that you begin, persist and repeat. Posts here provide a trail that may let you have a virtual companion when and if you want one. One may have to study alone, as I did in the beginning. There are other Steps students blogging their experience and you might find a person more like you as a companion, or use a number of such Steps journeys. There are options as well through the Free School of the New Message.
