Today: Step 75 - Today I will listen to my Self. (MP3)
Greetings All –
From the journal Step
74 - Peace abides with me today.
6:40
a.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2000 –
Yesterday
– I presented my ideas to the Rural Prosperity Commission. I got to tell much
of it.
the
region allows a locality to frame itself in a larger context.
–
have regional focal points for specific items/functions.
6:25
p.m. Home from work. A different energy now in my approach to work. I can keep
developing/selling regional intelligence. I need to broaden the base. All my
time can go to RI –
I'm
learning through experience and speaking from experience.
10:50
p.m. Home – tired – can't do much… TV sucks me in – but, I'm tired…so I'm
easily distracted. I should be organizing & writing…energy?
→regionalism can't
be – it can't work – it really has no meaning – because no one knows what a
region is. (Idealism – all – isms our ideals)
→position in the
world – where am I? Traveling with Joe C---. Getting his life story, history
& worldview. He's a devout Catholic – military man who is at his place in
the world and doing what is needed. The Navy was his career – and he did a good
job of it; became a strong teacher. He's not saving the world. He's doing what
he can.
What
does the entry have to do with the Step? Today, March 15, 2015, it was comforting
to practice: “Peace abides with me today.” The resolution of work in this post
is, I see now, peace at work on this day. Let us continue.

Note: If you’ve some interest due to this or other
Steps, you should go to the beginning blog post. From here you will learn about Steps to Knowledge
and can begin it on the day that makes sense; then progress as needed. You can
use the posts on this blog as a companion if it helps. They will remain in
order in the archives - one post per Step.
Often it takes 18 months to get through the Steps
once. For this blog, the pace is one-a-day, but it really makes no difference
how fast you do it, only that you begin, persist and repeat. Posts here provide
a trail that may let you have a virtual companion when and if you want one. One
may have to study alone, as I did in the beginning. There are other Steps
students blogging their experience and you might find a person more like you as
a companion, or use a number of such Steps journeys. There are options as well
through the Free School of the New Message.
