“The world is emerging into the Greater Community of Worlds and that is why I have come.” Step 190

YOU HAVE COME INTO THE WORLD at a great turning point, a turning point only part of which you will see in your own lifetime. It is a turning point where your world gains contact with the worlds in its vicinity. This is the natural evolution of humanity, as it is the natural evolution of all intelligent life in all worlds. Your world is seeking a Greater Community. This will require that your world’s own internal community become unified. This is also a part of the evolution of all intelligent life in all worlds. You have come here to serve this. There are many levels of service and many things that need to be contributed—on a personal, on a community and on a world level. You are part of this great movement of life, for you are not here for your own purposes alone. You are here to serve the world, and thus be served in return.

TODAY IN YOUR TWO LONGER PRACTICE PERIODS, investigate the idea for the day. Give it serious thought, observing those ideas that are in harmony with it and those ideas that disagree with it. Examine your feelings both for and against this idea. Examine your preferences, your prejudices, your beliefs, your hopes, your fears, and so forth. This constitutes the first half of each practice period. In the second half, enter stillness and silence, using the word RAHN if you find it to be helpful. Remember that both of these mental activities are necessary and complementary, as you shall learn in the future. Upon the hour repeat the idea for today. Allow it to provide that which you need to see the world in a new way.

7:10 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2001 – Were am I? Sitting in my rocker – listening to the People's Pharmacy – planning my day, reflecting on "all my relations" and "the great mystery."

→Building RC > agreed-upon boundary basic – Regional Community not Regional City

Transportation sprawl cities. Auto-sprawl – Gas tax/user fee a mistake because it gives too much power to that piece of technology – and lets it drive/drag other investment. All tax sources should be general fund – then the technology impact has to be filtered through a central policy

12:57 p.m. My Spiritual Family exists in all places. #189 – Practice #1 – part 1

Active investigation of the idea. The framework S2K/GCW provides/has been useful to me in confirming relationships I'd come to suspect as I explored from here – what and if might be over there. A cosmology is not given; a creation story is not told, but a flow and direction is revealed which my personal mind can believe, my body experiences, and my relationships reveal.

Receiving this, the confirmation of Knowledge brought forth from within me and my experiences, I then seek to Know where my energies need go. I've relaxed to threats and go with the flow – too relaxed I fear, but not w/o work. What I could do continues to pile up in my brain, as well as "should do's" I get overwhelmed and walk away, doing nothing, which is no help.

5:37 p.m. @ Little Bear – cool & windy – to be cold tonight – here in this preserve for wilderness – somewhat un-manicured nature is a place I experience my spirituality – my spiritual family. S2K/GCW says my spiritual family is everywhere.

The family of Sha-rone – (My Sharona?) It works…my family – and I am here to serve. As noted in the text, this awareness makes the mind and body more relaxed, more enjoyable. This truly is been my experience. I will/am putting GCW/S2K in my speaking & writing. "It is so good to be unburdened of the PDC, yet free to do regional community."

Define and align – that's what spirit does. It is the Akashic record.

9:20 p.m. Here in my study – dinner of nachos & two beers – ready for sleep – a little time to read – in the rocker – now in my tiny room – a bit of peace. On the tape player – ocean waves. People are out there – doing things – my Spiritual family is everywhere and includes everything. I am happy – today – not unhappy. I accept the world from the point of Knowledge I've been able to attain. Much more simplification and organization shall occur as I find my focus. No need for anger/rage. I am lucky/fortunate to have been able to respond to guidance.

Still – I'm a beginner. The tests I anticipate are related to taking this further.

Much progress compared to last year. The Spiritual Family name Sha-rone came to me before meeting Marshall, reading Greater Community Spirituality or learning of Spiritual Families in this teaching. As I was recording this journal entry in 2001, the relationship to The Knack’s song “My Sharona,” came to mind and I questioned it. Phrases and ideas we get can come from the influences around us, so that is something to be aware of. I've not listened to the People's Pharmacy in years, but it might be of interest to some. Let us continue. We are beginners.
