Today: Step 30 - Today I will observe my world. (MP3)
Today I will observe my world. Step 30 |
THIS
DAY OBSERVE YOUR WORLD, following the same practice plan as practiced the
previous day. Observe your world without judgment and observe what you are
doing in the world without judgment. Then feel if anything needs to be done.
Again, your hourly practices take but minutes, and as you practice, they will
become more swift, more keen and more effective.
WE
WISH FOR YOU TO VIEW THE WORLD without judgment, for this will enable you to
see the world as it really is. Do not think that you have seen the world the
way it really is, for what you have seen is your judgment upon the world. The
world you will see without judgment is a different world than you have ever
seen before.

a.m. – Getting K – just a little – developing a focus on cooperation – a
message that makes competition the little brother to cooperation. Viewpoint of
the local planet and a huge game of survivor – Mankind has voted many species
off the planet, many cultures too. Some, it appears, have self- destructed.
Survivor
– by elimination or cooperation?
12:53
p.m. The Creator's intent is life – and through Jesus told us to "choose
life that we might have abundance." In order to choose – we must know our
context – the forest/the environment/the planet/the solar system/the galaxy/the
greater community of life.
Physicality
and souls must have a continuous link.
1:02
p.m. Regional – Intelligence will debut on September 21 – Area Agencies on
Aging will be a potential regional geography which matches councils of
government. I must do the Adelphia [Internet] thing. Need faster access → I need my allies to be more Known to me.

Walking
in – with metal exercise balls – my mini Gamelon
orchestra.
PDC
– Regional Water Supply Committee
R I
– presentation – the approach to show the Virginia Strategic Advantage – The
intent was to empower localities through Service Districts.
Thanks
to Gov. Holton – the die was cast – in 1968/1972 – now we have a regional
community – it is peer/neighbor networking that creates value. Technology –
communications tech can overcome the distance and get the critical mass.
It
conflicts with the intentional creation of counties, towns, & cities –
which were more limited/focused by travel/communication technology.
Sometimes
the earth is one market – other times it's 6 billion one person markets.
On
the trail – my soul is at home in the woods, on the sea, at the beach. In the
Rockies, the sky becomes the ocean of blue. Mountains are massive, but there is
less life to them/in them than here in the East.
6:24
p.m. @ Little Bear – I see myself learning from my errors in learning how to
learn from my errors.
Objective observation of self; even with piles of
journals, this is a renewed challenge. I recall reading “Man Against Himself” by Karl Menninger,
in high school, about age 16. The book is described on Amazon as follows: “In
this landmark book, the impulse toward self-destructiveness is examined as a
misdirection of the instinct for survival, a turning inward of the aggressive
behavior developed for self-preservation.”
I don’ remember all the points, but
I had a clear image about an individual shaping their own mind. It was a head
of clay out of which emerged a hand that reached back and began to form the
brain. In this way, the individual shapes self.
Having a perspective of know in which direction to
shape the mind, well that requires great understanding, knowledge and wisdom,
plus a sense of the future. I had the image then, and it has come to mind
throughout my life. It will take time to understand in which direction we need
to shape our minds. Let us continue.

Note: If you’ve some interest due to this or other
Steps, you should go to the beginning blog post. From here you will learn about Steps to Knowledge
and can begin it on the day that makes sense; then progress as needed. You can
use the posts on this blog as a companion if it helps. They will remain in
order in the archives - one post per Step.
Often it takes 18 months to get through the Steps
once. For this blog, the pace is one-a-day, but it really makes no difference
how fast you do it, only that you begin, persist and repeat. Posts here provide
a trail that may let you have a virtual companion when and if you want one. One
may have to study alone, as I did in the beginning. There are other Steps
students blogging their experience and you might find a person more like you as
a companion, or use a number of such Steps journeys. There are options as well
through the Free School of the New Message.
